THE HOUSE OF THE SEVEN GABLES by CARLOS RIBES

Some time ago, one boy lived in a very old house. His father and his mother were dead, and his sister wanted that his brother worked or bought a new house, but his brother didn´t want to work. Then his sister decided to live with him to have more company.

The sister started to clean the house. Then, five days later, his grandpa decided to come and live with them. The sister went to the shop to work, and the brother went with his friends, then when they went, their grandpa was dead and the kids called the police. The person who killed grandpa was sent to prison. They started to cry because grandpa was dead, and then they made a funeral to honour grandpa.

PROJECT OMEGA by VICTOR PLA

The book is about a very rich man, one day when he was going to work he disappeared, the police didn´t find him. He had a daughter of eighteen years that was very worried. His daughter found out how much money her father business had, their economic situation was very good, but all the people of the business were hiding something to her. She started to investigate and she discovered a thing called project Omega, the project usage was to have all the power of the world, control countries, cities, villages, all you can imagine. But that was not what her father wanted, that's what their father's partners wanted. She makes a friend called Thomas who saves her from death, she tells her friend about project Omega and her friend decides to help her. One day she was walking in the street and she feels someone pushing her inside a car. She falls asleep and then she wakes up in a luxury plane with her friend Thomas, her friend says that they are going to a desert island where her father was, and that her father got away from New York because he was in danger and that the secretary took papers from project Omega and she went to Atlanta and she was going to show project Omega to the world. When they arrived to the island her father told her that he was going to live forever in that island. She went back to new York to help poor people and after that she went to the island to live with her father forever.

ANN OF GREEN GABLES by ROCIO PERIS

Marilla and Matthew Cuthbert want a boy from the orphanage to help him with the farm. In the station of Bright River Station, there was a little girl waiting for Matthew. He took the little girl to Green Gables, when Marilla saw that she wasn’t a boy, she said it was a mistake. The next day Marilla said to the little girl that she could stay in Green Gables with Matthew and her, but with a condition, she should be good.

Some days later Mrs. Lynde came to have a tea with Marilla. Mrs. Lynde said very impolite things about Anne, and Anna answered back. Marilla sent Anne to her room. Marilla said to Mrs. Lynde she was unkind to her.

Anne only had one ugly dress from the orphanage. Marilla made her three new dresses and a new hat. Anne went to the church with a hat which was plenty of flowers.

The next day Marilla couldn’t find a beautiful old brooch. Marilla asked Anne if she had taken the brooch, but she hadn’t. Marilla looked for the brooch again, but she didn't find it. The next day Marilla went to Anne’s room and she saw her brooch on Anne's coat. Anne told her that she had taken the brooch because she wanted to go to the party. Marilla said that Anne could go to the party. Anne went to the party and she had a lot of fun. In the school, a boy called Gilbert picked up Anne’s braids. Anne hit Gilbert on the head with her slate and the slate broke. Marilla said to Anne that she could invite Diana to a picnic. Anne instead of giving Diana fruit juice, she gave her red wine, so Diana felt very bad.

Other day, Anne didn’t want to go out of her room, because she dyed her red hair. Her hair turned green. Marilla cut Anne’s hair.

Anne went to Queen’s college. Matthew had heart problems. Some days later, Matthew fell to the ground, Anne and Marilla ran towards him, but Matthew was dead.

K'S FIRST CASE by VICTOR MENDOZA

Sir Michael Gray has died and five people can be the murderers: his wife, Lady Elizabeth Gray, his friend, Colonel Fawcett, his secretary, Miss Everett, Lady Elizabeth's brother and the housekeeper, Nancy flack.

Detective Katrina Kirby (K), must try to solve the problem. She has some theories and knows that sir Michael didn't commit suicide. K interrogated the five people who were in the house when Sir Michael died.

Lady Elizabeth tells K that they quarrelled a lot for the secretary. Colonel Fawcett tells her that he was fighting with Sir Michael for money, but that he didn't murder him.

Lady Elizabeth's brother explains to K that he didn't like him but that he didn't murder him.

Finally, K talks to the housekeeper and to Miss Everett.

They all say the same thing, that they haven't murdered sir Michael.

K discovers a mechanism in the refrigerator from the study where sir Michael's body appeared and talks to the five again.

Finally, the housekeeper confesses that she was the murderer putting a mechanism inside the refrigerator that went straight to the heart of the person, but she didn't really want to murder Sir Michael, she wanted to murder his secretary, because she hated lady Elizabeth. The night of the murder the secretary didn't go to the study and that's why she didn't die.

K has solved the problem.

INSPECTOR THACKRAY ARRIVES by SANTI MARTINEZ

The book tells us three stories about Thackeray:

Inspector Thackeray is a police inspector in Manchester, in the first story he meets a new policeman, the sergeant Silver who helps Thackeray in his work during the three stories.

The first story is about an arson in the Johnson's furniture K. Thackeray answers and resolve the case. Thackeray has to ask questions and writes the answer of people. In this case Mr Wood is the culprit of the fires.

The second story is about a kidnap in the airport. In this case Thackeray and Silver are waiting for a police officer in the airport when a boy Abdulla Mohammed, who is a sheik's son, is missing. Thackeray has to ask questions and writes the answer of the people who are in the airport Thackeray resolves that Abdulla has been kidnapped by Mrs Evans and meets the boy inside a plane.

In the third story, Thackeray must find out who has taken the drawing of a secret military project called electronic eye. As always, he asks questions and then he comes to a conclusion. In this case, the fault is Miss Lane's, who is professor Lane's daughter. Professor Lane has made the electronic eye.

JOHN AND THE GREAT DETECTIVE by RAFA MAÑEZ

David is a boy who dreams and writes stories about detectives.
One day he left asleep, he missed the bus and forgot his food in the kitchen. When he was on the bus he saw two children with a bike and he thought that it was very strange because it was a school day.
When he arrived at school, he entered in a wrong class.
At lunch time, Jack and his friends laughed of David and said him “David the dreamer” and two girls defended David.
When the school was over, David was coming home but he met with Jack. Jack was angry, David asked him what had happened and he said that his bike had disappeared.
Later David and jack started looking for Jack´s bike. They looked in a lot of places but they didn't find it, after David went to look for it at the old factory and saw some boys with bikes.
David said to Jack that that was Jack`s bike. The boys discovered David and chased him, David tried to escape but he could not.
Jack went to find help and he found the two girls that defended David at lunch time.

The two girls and Jack rescued David by throwing tennis balls to the boys.

MR. BEAN by MARC MACHI

Mr. Bean worked in art gallery, but lots of people hated him, because he fell asleep when he had to look at the paintings. Then, they decided to send Mr. Bean to the Grierson gallery in America, because the painting of Whistler´s mother was important for the gallery, and he had to take care of the painting. Mr. Bean spoiled the painting and to repair it, he took his handkerchief and tried to clean it, but he spoiled it even more. So he decided to draw a funny face. At night, Mr. Bean entered to the gallery to put a false poster of the Whistler´s mother, so the people would not realise.

Mr. Langley's daughter had an accident and Mr. Bean and Langley went to the hospital and Mr. Bean entered into an operating room and he took a bullet from the stomach of a man.

When Mr. Bean went back to Los Angeles, David went to Whistler´s mother room and Mr. Grierson entered the room and the painting fell and Mr. Grierson saw that it was only a poster.

One day the cat starts to do strange things. The man and the woman are very scared.

One day the people of the town decided to hang the cat.

The man wants to keep away from him because the cat is very strange.

WANTED: ANA MARKER by CANDELA GRAU

Two girls get involved in a robbery, it ends with a murder. It happens while they are waiting for the bus. After the police pursues them with a car full of money. They say the guilty is a corrupt policeman called Ray Stanton. 

THE LOST WORLD by MONICA BRIA

Edward Malone is a journalist and the girl that he loves wants a man of adventure and he isn't.
One day his boss says to him to interview a crazy scientific; two days later the scientist proposes some people to do an expedition to South America. He accepts and lives a lot of adventures.
They discover ape-people, pterodactyls, …
And when this people return to England they look for the girl, but she was married with a normal person.

One person discovers there were diamonds and with the money, Edward and that person, go to the same expedition. Another person builds a private museum and another person leaves his job and studies what he wanted.

 

LOST LOVE by ADRIAN LLISO

5 stories in the book are different and very strange.

1º -Lost Love: Mr Brown met a girl, called Mary. Mary invited him to come to his house, he watched it was all very strange. He went to a town when a men said to him a story of Oliver Cromwell, who comes to the city every ten years.

2º -The Doll: Mr Brown saw an old store. He bought old doll, the doll was very strange (she spoke, moved, smiled…) Mr Brown threw it into the fire, buried it, threw into the rubbish, but the doll always returned.

3º -The old man: Mr Brown has written a book. In there, strange things happened, the pen disappeared, he listened to voices at night. When he looked in the mirror he had beard. The men with beard said that he finished his story book.

4º -The charm: Mr Brown was very afraid, he met an old man who said a charm. The next day he went to the war and he was very scared, but, with the charm, he was stronger and was less afraid and Mr Brown became a leader and he said to the others to run to a bridge, and escape to the war.

5º -Journey’s End: Tom Smith wanted a job. He loved sports, so he wanted to work in a sports store, but he didn’t have enough money. He met Madame Zelda who knew about the future. He told me not to come the following Friday and Tom didn’t care. He knew the old man in the train, the train stopped and Mr Smith was sad because he didn’t have a job. The old man said that he was rich and promised that he had many sport stores in different places. The man said to someone the story.
